Intuitive design
Yes, the Beacon has lots of large compartments, but that’s not all that makes it so innovative. We’ve designed intuitive spaces for smart organization, buckles and straps positioned for on-the-fly adjustments, and additional front pockets for fingertip access. The dedicated laptop compartment is roomy enough for the most behemoth 18-inch laptop, and in the main storage area, you’ll find a large zippered pocket, dividers, and an assortment of multifunction accessory slots. A clever buckle system allows the main compartment to open halfway for quick access or a full 180 degrees for easy loading; and quick access hip pockets are easily accessible without having to remove the bag from your back. Gaming console protection
We created the Beacon with the serious gamer in mind. Its main front compartment opens to reveal a fully removable padded sleeve large enough to comfortably fit a Wii, Xbox, or PS series console. The sleeve fits neatly in the main compartment without affecting the ability to carry a laptop, and still leaves room for documents and a few accessories. Additional interior pockets let you keep control of items like cables, chargers, and mouse. Efficiently carry what you need for any gaming expedition.
All-weather protection

The Beacon’s bottom pocket contains a water-resistant weather cover that stretches to neatly slip over the entire exposed surface of the bag and protects your equipment and documents against rain, snow, or dust. Ergonomically designed
When your backpack is fully loaded it can get heavy, so we engineered a 5-point balance strap system to ergonomically distribute the weight and reduce muscle strain. With straps that adjust at the shoulders, 2 quick-slide straps at the bottom and one across the chest, you have total control over weight distribution. This allows you balanced comfort, even when your backpack is full. The Beacon’s ergonomically designed carry system also boasts a padded back panel with mesh padding and airflow channels to provide maximum air circulation for breathability. Easy-lift dual handles
Manage your burden with ease with the Beacon’s dual handles, located at the top and the lower front side of the bag to allow you to conveniently get a grip on your bag and more easily maneuver it for packing and unpacking.
Cable management
Cables tangled around your backpack straps? No more. The Beacon’s shoulder straps provide a means to temporarily hang sunglasses and headphones. They work with the side pocket’s cable outlet to route cables and prevent breakage due to tangling.

All in all great bag. Fits G73 and PS3(the small one). Very solid,many many many compartments.
There are some people that say the Asus g73 does not fit, others say it does fit. Thought I would help clear this bit up. The Asus g73 does indeed fit quite nicely if you have the vents facing the side of the bag with the longer zipper (in my experience). The corners of the laptop poke out of the sides about 1/4 of an inch, nothing to bad. Carrying this laptop and the power brick is no problem with this backpack, I hardly feel like I am caring more than 3 pounds.

Wish there was a special place to put my over sized power brick though.
All in all, worth the money.
It fits my Asus G73SW with room to spare. It will only fit one way; however, since the zipper does not open uniformly the hinge needs to be on the left (facing the front of the bag) or the corner will stick out past the zipper. This isn't really an issue since it does fit and that is what is important.
The quality of the bag is amazing. I have yet to see any sign of defect or flaw. Not a single loose stitch.
In searching for a bag for my monster laptop it came down to this and the Slappa Mask. This bag won me over with it's elegant looks. It was also approx $40 cheaper than the Slappa. Sometimes I feel it would be nicer if there were more of the padded pockets, but I have yet to actually need more (one of those "everything needs it's own space OCD things).
The bag is very comfortable to wear, especially with the 10+ lbs of gear I have in it. The extra handle on the front of the laptop is nice because it gives you that extra sense of security that the handle wont snap as you are lifting the bag.
The pictures make this bag look leathery, but it isn't at all.
My only honest to goodness "complaint" about the bag would be to have more padding on the bottom. A pair of rubber feet or something so it doesn't seem like the laptop is actually contacting the ground (minus the leather patch and padding).
All in all I have been very satisfied and will definitely look to Everki for my next bag purchase!
