the rain cover is well made, it is a necessary accessory if you go outside with your pack. Unfortunately the back pack itself is not water proof or even water resistant.

The Everki is the best business/personal use backpack I have owned, however the first major rain storm i was caught in, it leaked like a sieve. every pocket and compartment was soaked and had to be dried out. the backpack should either be water proof or the rain cover ought to be included. The future design could include it similar to a raincoat with a hood contained in the collar. The Everki rain cover is essential if you are going outside and may get caught in the rain. it does work, looks good when on, but is a bit of a pain to have to install every time you think it may rain. the cover now takes up valuable space, fitting in the water bottle sleeve. However the back pack is otherwise so well designed that its worth the effort. Please Make a Back pack that is waterproof to begin with. I was hesitant to buy this rain cover as there were no reviews. Happy to say it is small and compact, easy to carry along, and works flawlessly to keep my backpack dry if I am caught in a rainstorm.
