Intuitive design
Yes, the Beacon has lots of large compartments, but that’s not all that makes it so innovative. We’ve designed intuitive spaces for smart organization, buckles and straps positioned for on-the-fly adjustments, and additional front pockets for fingertip access. The dedicated laptop compartment is roomy enough for the most behemoth 18-inch laptop, and in the main storage area, you’ll find a large zippered pocket, dividers, and an assortment of multifunction accessory slots. A clever buckle system allows the main compartment to open halfway for quick access or a full 180 degrees for easy loading; and quick access hip pockets are easily accessible without having to remove the bag from your back. Gaming console protection
We created the Beacon with the serious gamer in mind. Its main front compartment opens to reveal a fully removable padded sleeve large enough to comfortably fit a Wii, Xbox, or PS series console. The sleeve fits neatly in the main compartment without affecting the ability to carry a laptop, and still leaves room for documents and a few accessories. Additional interior pockets let you keep control of items like cables, chargers, and mouse. Efficiently carry what you need for any gaming expedition.
All-weather protection
We go the extra mile to protect your valuables from the elements, because there’s no telling when you will find yourself stuck in inclement weather with expensive gear on your back. The Beacon’s bottom pocket contains a water-resistant weather cover that stretches to neatly slip over the entire exposed surface of the bag and protects your equipment and documents against rain, snow, or dust. Ergonomically designed
When your backpack is fully loaded it can get heavy, so we engineered a 5-point balance strap system to ergonomically distribute the weight and reduce muscle strain. With straps that adjust at the shoulders, 2 quick-slide straps at the bottom and one across the chest, you have total control over weight distribution. This allows you balanced comfort, even when your backpack is full. Easy-lift dual handles
Manage your burden with ease with the Beacon’s dual handles, located at the top and the lower front side of the bag to allow you to conveniently get a grip on your bag and more easily maneuver it for packing and unpacking.
Cable management
Cables tangled around your backpack straps? No more. The Beacon’s shoulder straps provide a means to temporarily hang sunglasses and headphones. They work with the side pocket’s cable outlet to route cables and prevent breakage due to tangling.

As for the broken zipper, Everki shipped me a replacement backpack in a total of 5 days after the claim was filed. With the level of service and quality of the product, not to mention the outstanding warranty, this backpack was worth every dollar I spent on it.
The only real gripe I have with the backpack is that my replacement unit appears to have a brighter shade of orange accents and some of the decorations seem to have poorer tooling than on the previous unit. However, I am sure the bag will look much more similar to the old one once it is worn in a little.
All in all, probably the best backpack I have ever owned.
Upon receiving my bag I thought I would never need to use the warranty, such was the quality. However, when the bag developed a tear after over a year of daily use lugging my laptop and textbooks to and from uni, I emailed the team at Everki and received a new bag in less than 7 days: Incredibly fast! I have never experienced such prompt and professional customer service, and this really gives you confidence when purchasing! Furthermore, the replacement bag was made of slightly tougher material with more robust zips and a tweaked design. Other companies might pay lip service to the notion of continuous improvement, Everki have clearly committed themselves to listening to customer feedback and developing their products.
I will definitely be recommending this brand to everyone in the market for a bag. Their products are priced at a premium, compared to standard Big W bags, but you truly get what you pay for, and you will not be disappointed!
After one year the black plastic on a shoulder strap broke on the top and on the bottom of the plastic stripe.
After two years the threads of the technical tissue started to come out of the seams close to the zips on the front pocket and on the top handle as well.
I was so enthusiast when I bought it, but I cannot say anymore the same :(
I doesn't seem to be made to last...
This looked like a bag that was sturdy seemed to be the right size to carry my gaming laptop around. So on a leap of faith after reading a forum entry, I decided to get it.
No regrets.
I'm very happy with this bag.
The quality of the bag materials, stitching and design really impressed me. The removable tags on various areas of the bag showing how to use the features of the section they were attached to led to a good boxing experience. Web site pictures do not do this bag justice and it proudly sits next to my desk at work and on my shoulder when leaving the office.
I would have preferred a solid plastic grab-handle on the top of the bag as opposed to the material one supplied, but other than that I am ecstatic with my purchase.
