I love this product, BUT unfortunately I had to return it. Instead, I purchased the Swift model. This is only because I have a custom built 17 in laptop that is 2in thick and weighs 12 lb. I thought the beefy backpack would help manage the load, but unfortunately the zipper would not close completely. However, the Swift fits like a glove.

Not much to add to previous reviews. Awesome backpack. Easily fits everything I could possibly be wanting to carry. Kept all my equipment nice and dry while I was drowning in the rain on my bike last week :D One single flaw: The vertical zipper in the front of the backpack only adds to the looks of the bag - not the functionality. Great product, comfortable, nice, plenty of room for my 17.3" laptop, xbox 360 2 controllers, camera, mp3, phone, and i still cant fill half the pockets in it! (not buldging either! worth the $$!!

I've used my beacon for about two weeks now, and I have to say it is one of the best bags I've come across.
It fits my Asus G73SW with room to spare. It will only fit one way; however, since the zipper does not open uniformly the hinge needs to be on the left (facing the front of the bag) or the corner will stick out past the zipper. This isn't really an issue since it does fit and that is what is important.
The quality of the bag is amazing. I have yet to see any sign of defect or flaw. Not a single loose stitch.
In searching for a bag for my monster laptop it came down to this and the Slappa Mask. This bag won me over with it's elegant looks. It was also approx $40 cheaper than the Slappa. Sometimes I feel it would be nicer if there were more of the padded pockets, but I have yet to actually need more (one of those "everything needs it's own space OCD things).
The bag is very comfortable to wear, especially with the 10+ lbs of gear I have in it. The extra handle on the front of the laptop is nice because it gives you that extra sense of security that the handle wont snap as you are lifting the bag.
The pictures make this bag look leathery, but it isn't at all.
My only honest to goodness "complaint" about the bag would be to have more padding on the bottom. A pair of rubber feet or something so it doesn't seem like the laptop is actually contacting the ground (minus the leather patch and padding).
All in all I have been very satisfied and will definitely look to Everki for my next bag purchase!

Fits my HP HDX 18.4. Looks good wears good. Holds all my gear with room to spare. Excellant fit and finish. Love it! The only bag I will ever use again.

Great bag, the rain guard is very helpful with keeping the snow off my PC.
Great company, there was a seam that started to come loose and the company sent me a new bag.

I have only had for a short amount of time or the review would be higher. I travel a lot and the Beacon has shown me the way. I can get all my travel needs and accessories into the backpack and they are organized as well.

Great product. Amazingly well built and very attractive. Fits my huge hp hdx 18t laptop with room to spare. Very comfortable even for long periods of time. Has many pockets and plenty of room for all the little gadgets that will be taken on the road. Amazing backpack but that's not even the best part. BEST PART: is that the company stands behind their product. I ordered one backpack and when I got it, it had a damaged zipper. So this beacon backpack came with a life time warranty. I was leaving for India a couple of days after buying the book bag. I needed it for my travels and when it came, it was damaged so I didn't have time to exchange it so called up customer service and the service I got was unbelievable! Extremely friendly and they tried to do all they could for me and ended up shipping a brand new beacon backpack to my house. It was waiting for me at home when I came back from my travels. Simply the best, most hassle free customer service. At a price of $120 it was not cheap until Everki proved how they truly take care of their customers, and you cannot put a price on that. Highly recommended book bag and since this company truly stands behind their products, HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANY Everki product. Will def be buying more products from them. Thanks a lot Everki team!rn

This is an AMAZING backpack!! It has a TON of room to store all of your stuff (Trust me, it'll store more than you're expecting. I've managed to store my HP Envy 17, a PS3 w/ 4 controllers, 4 Xbox 360 controllers, a five-subject notebook, a 17" laptop cooling dock, and circumaural headphones with some room to spare!). I wasn't sure if it was worth the price I paid for but but man...was I wrong. This backpack reeks of quality and craftsmanship and is backed by Everki's awesome limited lifetime warranty! I haven't had to deal with Everki support myself, but testimonials from across the internet are raving about how courteous and helpful their support staff is. Personally, I will only be buying Everki backpacks from now on. If you're on the fence about this product, BUY IT! You won't be disappointed.

For a big guy looking for a big bag to carry my large work laptop and all of the accessories, I love this bag so far. It is comfortable. It holds everything. It is easy to use. I even have room for a change of clothes for short trips. I look forward to many years of carrying this bag!
